Hand-carved Pounamu (Greenstone / New Zealand Nephirte Jade) earrings with sterling silver ear-hooks. Size-wise they are 37mm in diameter by 3mm thick, so quite light to wear. The outer rings are from a very dark-green almost black bowenite pounamu and the inner disks are carved from a very translucent inanga NZ jade. They represent the glowing stars. The Greenstone / Pounamu / Nephrite Jade is from the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand.
