41mm diameter by 7mm thick pounamu pendant carved from dark-green, Kawakawa Greenstone (New Zealand jade), bound with adjustable black cord. The dark-green stone has a unique dendritic stone pattern with some lighter-green colour transition. It comes from the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand.
The concave form is thinner in the middle and gives an amazing translucency (shown on photo with back-light). The circular shape represents the beginning and the end, heaven and earth, the joining of cultures, the bonding of friendship/partnership for life.
