Kawakawa Leaf Heart Pounamu (Chatoyant & Translucent Inanga NZ Jade)
52mm wide by 39mm long by 6mm thick pounamu (New Zealand jade / greenstone) pendant with adjustable black cord. The piece is carved from a translucent inanga pounamu, sourced from the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand. The piece has a unique greenish colour transition with black/purple dots and natural stone pattern - one of a kind piece. The carving is also chatoyant - showing a band of bright lustre caused by reflection from inclusions in the stone. One photo was taken with backlight, showing the translucency of the stone.
